Construction
Once the contract is agreed upon, the
construction phase begins with site surveys, engineering/design, material and
work procedure approvals, followed by technical execution in the field.
The types of
construction work involved include:
1. New Transmission Line Construction
· Briefing
· Foundation work
· Tower erection
· Conductor stringing:
o
GSW (Ground Wire)
o
OPGW (Optical
Ground Wire)
· Testing & Commissioning
· Handover
2. Relocation of SUTET/SUTT Towers
· Erection of Emergency Towers (ET)
· Transferring Conductors, GSW/OPGW from Existing Towers
to Emergency Towers for Circuit 1 and 2 (During Outage)
· Construction of New Towers:
o
Briefing
o
Foundation work
o
Installation of
Conductor Accessories
o
Transferring
Conductors to New Towers (During Outage) for Circuit 1 & 2
o
Site Cleaning
o
Testing &
Commissioning
3. Tower Strengthening and Heightening
· Preparation of tower materials for delivery to site
· Installation of angle bars for structural
reinforcement
· Installation of angle bars during outage conditions
4. Tower Foundation Reinforcement
· Execution of bored piles (if required)
· Installation of reinforcement bars (rebar)
· Concrete casting for foundations
· Installation of conductors on the highest arm
· Testing & Commissioning
